Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Account information — your name and email when you create an account (or via Google sign-in).
• Profile & application data you provide — e.g. GPA, science GPA, ICU experience, certifications, shadowing, programs you track, personal statements, and resume content you submit to our tools.
• Usage data — first-party product analytics (which features you use, funnel events) kept free of sensitive content, plus cookieless web analytics. We record the country a request comes from, so we can tell which parts of the world we are reaching — never the city, region or coordinates, and we do not store your IP address.
• Payment data — handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your full card number.

How we use your information

• To provide the tools (scoring, fit/odds, coaching, the program directory, trackers).
• To process subscriptions and send service messages (e.g. confirmations, receipts, deadline reminders).
• To improve the product through aggregate, de-identified analysis.
• To secure the service and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your personal information. Any future aggregate insights would be de-identified.

Service providers

We share data only with reputable third-party service providers that help us operate the Service, under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations, and only as needed — cloud hosting & infrastructure; database, authentication & storage; a PCI-compliant payment processor (we don't store full card numbers); AI/ML processing for the coaching and interview features (your inputs are processed server-side to generate results); and transactional email and security / bot-protection services.

We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

How your data is protected

Your records are protected per-user with row-level security, AI calls run server-side (keys are never exposed to your browser), and data is encrypted in transit. No method is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

Your choices and rights

You can view and update your profile, cancel your subscription anytime, and request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (access, correction, deletion, opt-out). We honor applicable requests.

Cookies

We use the cookies necessary to keep you signed in. Our web analytics are cookieless, so we do not show a consent banner for tracking cookies.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Thank-you gifts

If you complete the outcome survey and share your story, you can choose to claim a free thank-you gift. To mail it, we collect the name and US mailing address you enter. We use them only to send the gift, share them only with the print-and-shipping service that fulfills it, and delete the address 90 days after the gift ships (or within a day if a claim is canceled). Your survey answers are used internally to improve Boost and are not published. The gift doesn't depend on your outcome or on what you say, and if we feature your testimonial we note that you received a gift.

Changes

We may update this policy; we'll revise the effective date above and, for material changes, notify you.
